The 2017 exciting Scolastica Quiz took place in Hall 2A at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair. Scholastica Exhibition runs concurrently with the trade fair, and this year hosted a STEM Day on 27 April 2017 which was sponsored by ZIMDEF. The students who attended the event were treated to an exciting quiz which was aimed at demonstrating the importance of STEM. As pronounced by the President Cde. R. G. Mugabe in launching the STEM Initiative, the growth of the economy is hinged on its potential to industrialise and that comes along with stemitising the trade fair through offering life changing opportunities at Scholastica.
During the STEM quiz, St Columbus High School walked away the Champion and was presented a revolving trophy as well as a desktop computer. Mpopoma High School came second and won a printer and Entumbane High School came third and won a stationery voucher. In the individual students category, Entumbane High School Hillary Banda was the winner and he was awarded a laptop and St Columbus High School, Mqondisi Dlamini and Amanda Moyo came second and third respectively. Dlamini and Moyo won a tablet each.
ZIMDEF strives to continue engaging in partnerships that drive the STEM Initiative forward.
